It's important to point out that ic3 partner BITA (index and data provider company) is different from BiTA (transport blockchain consortium), unlike what was said in previous threads.
However there are still some interesting leads, since Chainlink attending MW18 means they're getting close to the BiTA consortium as well. It's the only event BiTA has listed on its website btw.

>September 26, 2018
>FedEx Joins Hyperledger in further push for Logistics efficiency
>FedEx the giant US courier company, proactive adopter of blockchain technology and BiTA member, has joined Linux hosted open-source project Hyperledger to further advance the use of distributed ledger in logistics, and transportation.
>FedEx has been a proactive adopter blockchain technology. Fred Smith, FedEx CEO said earlier in the year he believes that blockchain is the “next frontier” for global supply chains. In February this year, FedEx joined the Blockchain in Transport Alliance (BiTA), and Dale Chrystie told FreightWaves: 'We want to work on developing common standards around blockchain technology in the transportation industry, and we continually try to enhance the customer’s experience, and blockchain is tied to that.'
>Kevin Humphries, Senior Vice President of IT at FedEx Services told Cointelegraph.com that blockchain technology has 'big implications' for supply chains, logistics, and transportation.

Chainlink attending is very interesting

Other blockchain companies attending, could be worth looking into how they fit into this puzzle:
Agile Blockchain
Block Array
Chainyard
EXOCHAIN
IBM (Hyperledger?)

Companies would adopt something with a fanbase who called themselves: "Hail Hortler retard niggers" if it saved them billions of $ a year. Only until recently the companies start to virtue signal like Nike etc. Its always been about the bottom line and it will always be even if some companies are forgetting it atm.

a few things:

1. any of these companies that already have an oracle service in place have the option of switching to a different oracle service
2. if they feel like a decentralized oracle service is necessary for their smart contracts they will make the switch to chainlink
3. if they are not in need of a decentralized oracle service chainlink may still be something they decide to use as it can be used in a centralized manner

All these companies make their own oracles brainlet. ChainLink doesn’t even have a mainnet. Try contacting smartcontract.com, they can’t even help you set up the simplest smart contract or blockchain application, I’m serious. They’ll set up a phone call with you with some bumbling idiot like Thomas and he’ll say he has to do some research to help you. I’ve done it. It’s not good.

the whole point of decentralized oracles is so the data is trustless. If there is no need for trustless data then no the smartcontract wont use it. However, when the smartcontract will want to use data that is not biased or trustless. thats when Chainlink oracles comes in.

However it is worth pointing out that when it comes to this subject I am very very serious. You know those ordinary seeds? I don't care for them. Enveloping my burger pattys I really like fresh bread, none of that gluten free mumbo jumbo, and here's the killer: I don't want those regular seeds. I want an assortment of exotic seeds and maybe some nutflakes spread on the bun. Surprise me.

Chainlink is such a meme I can't believe people fall for this scam. Two developers one with pass marks in philosophy (which you get for basically showing up) without a roadmap and a presentation delivered at sibos next to the public toilets where they were rewarded out of sympathy for showing up and received a donation meant for a disabled charity.
