No, Segwit chain is counterfeit & worthless Bitcoin.

They maliciously inserted it into the protocol via a non consensual soft fork. They claimed it was not mandatory however since the massive exploit was discovered a week ago they have made it mandatory.
Bitcoin hard forked off from the doomed direction which sought to remove all value from the chain i.e. the chain of signatures which Segwit breaks.

The white paper says:
>We define an electronic coin as a chain of digital signatures.

Since that is the case all that is left on the Bitcoin Segwit chain (since it is now mandatory) is an expensive IOU system with no chain of cryptographic signatures to be preserved as it will be phased out over time.

It is simple logic therefore to determine that Bitcoin is still peer to peer Electronic cash it just has a new ticker.

Segwit justs shifts the signature into a different field that doesn't count towards the blocksize. The signature is still there recorded in the the block.
