What is the safest website for buying ETH

I don't want to get mt. gox'd again

>> No.1108008

I would suggest staying away from chart chasing. Instead you should read about the tech itself.

Right now Ethereum is in its infant stages. Soon you're going to see a updated version called Homestead which includes more ways to develop for the platform. They'll be moving from proof of work concepts to proof of stake. You should read up on that as well.

There are some big players who have shown interest in developing on Ethereum's network, namely Samsung and Microsoft. All of that stuff is in their initial stages.

Finally, you should realize that Ethereum isn't really a currency like other cryptos. ETH has value like they do, but only out of necessity. Ethereum's purpose is as a decentralized computing platform for smart contracts and shared, trustless ledgers.

TL;DR: get in on it for its potential and don't worry about what chart chasing crypto day traders say about where the line on their screen is going.

This guy gets it, its a long hold just like Bitcoin minus the crash when everyone realized it was actually useless and flawed. Remember, you're only buying Ether, the currency to buy computation time on the decentralized komputah. Ether is not Ethereum. You can't buy Ethereum.

Anything that you receive as payment for goods or services is generally taxable income unless it is specifically exempted.

That means, if you mow your neighbor’s lawn, it doesn’t matter if he pays you $20 in cash, or $20 worth of bitcoins. (Or $20 worth of tomatoes for that matter)

In many jurisdictions, you are still legally required to report that as income. When using Bitcoin for payment the taxing authorities may be less likely to be aware of the payments but try to mow 10,000 neighbor’s lawns and not report the income and you will be much more likely to get caught.

Once i've done this and i'm confident that i understand the process and i'm not going to fuck up.
I'm going in with $10,000 to hold in a paper wallet until i see Ether on the news like i saw bitcoin on the news back in 2013.

And that original $500 and any other pocket money i rustle up i'll use to swing trade cryptocurrencies for fun.

Anyone willing to help? The two questions I have are:

1. I have an address created through Geth. How can I access the Ether on that account? Am I able to send it do a different address I created at ethereumwallet?

2. When I run CheckAllBalances(); , it says I have 45 ether. Does this literally mean I have 45 eth?

I cant seem to get it to transfer from one wallet to the other, I get errors whether I run a script to send them, or manually enter the transfer.

no idea about monero, i'm alreay in SIA but i got in at like 25, so i'm at a loss atm, i think this is a good time to invest in SIA, but honestly i dont expect all that much from it,

i'm also in EXP but its a shit coins and i'll be selling probably very soon, at a slight profit,

Maidsafe is where its at if you ask me, only recently went in so i'm only sitting on a small profit right now but i have a feel its gonna go 10x-30x in the next month of so, i'll probably round my 7000 coins to 10k soon.

i was advised to get into maidsafe by a guy i know that makes his living from trading altcoins, he told me a couple of days ago he moved everything he has into maid and eth, he already told me to get into maidsafe 2 weeks ago and i have made nice little profit thanks to that, guy knows his shit.
