>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

For the lad who asked about Antibe Pharma:

I won't have time to look at all of their pipeline and claims in depth until later this weekend, but I did look at the research on ATB 346 for the treatment of inflammation/pain. Looks legit, it does what they claim it does in rats, they don't pull any of the typical pharma shit with their experimental design and statistics in order to manipulate perceived therapeutic efficacy/safety. There is a market for it, that will only grow desu.

Going to read a bit more into their other products, but I may invest in this myself. Main worrying thing so far is why ATB 346 clinical trials were shut down years ago due to safety issues and later reinstated. I suspect the dose they developed in rats lead to unpleasant side effects, and they may be trying a lower dose right now. But they still managed to get an analgesic effect in their later trials I suppose.

Also, there isn't enough research on H2S releasing agents for me to exclude the possibility of a downstream or chronic use negative side effect. So it is still a gamble. Definitely undervalued, I think though, and will probably get to phase 4.

The deal with the South Korean company is good news, gastrointestinal disorders that are complicated by NSAIDS are most prevalent in east asian countries.

I already bought 500 shares of ECR and pretty excited but Im afraid the profit wont be that much. I wish I started out with more money in my account but I only had like 700 dollars to start because I dont want to get too crazy. I was initially planning to gradually grow my stock account but now Im thinking you need lots of money to start otherwise the profit margins are very low. I dont really see the worth in buying stuff like AMD or TSLA because the profit margins would be insanely low unless you buy lots and lots with tens of thousands of dollars

at this point im interesting in penny stocks because i think its really interesting to read justifications for why they might grow. its fun to mass buy a super cheap stock and see if it works out

Couple entry prices to consider for trading dude weed recent IPOs that opened too high on debut and plunged:

Canopy Rivers latest PP price before hitting the public market was 3.50. Bottom floor for the drop will likely be 4.00 if it ever goes that low. I believe anything under 6.00 is a strong buy on this stock in current market conditions. Today's close was 7.75, low of day 7.52.

North Bud Farms latest PP was 0.25. Strong buy under 0.30 on open market. Today's close 0.37, low of day 0.35.

The last is Australis but I don't recommend that thing until it clearly establishes a support line, tests a new low, tests first resistance above support, then returns to mean. I won't touch it before it satisfies that criteria. Unlike Canopy Rivers, Australis has limited cash and is involved in a more uncertain market (US only). However, if Aurora pumps after their US listing, this one could ride along, maybe. Extreme caution.

pls rember, SCREAM IF YOU WANNA GO FASTER is the dude weed trading motto.

I know you can buy small semen samples online for medical purposes, but could you imagine a company that sold wholesale cum? How much would a liter or two of cum cost? It'd probably be illegal to sell it without going through some sort of screening, but what if you labeled it for culinary purposes or something and then marked it as being not for human consumption? Just like a plastic soda bottle full of cum shipped to your door, can you imagine? It'd be like when they started making tobasco sauce, they sold it in old perfume bottles. >is there anything more to life than making money?
I honestly dont think so. The grocery store that is closest to my town is in a pretty bad area, but I often go there out of convenience. Its totally shit, dirty, bad staff and generally ugly. The other day I went to a really nice shop in a rich area and oh my god. I felt so much more ALIVE in there, strange as it sounds. Beautiful displays of seasonal items, wine displayed in pretty set ups, fresh meat and produce sections with professional looking employees and artisan products, the surfaces were shiny white and glass. Even the people in the store looked more attractive. To be honest it actually made me very sad, because its the kind of thing I want to experience all the time, just that aura of money, things well cared for, high expectations.

Money really is everything. One of the best feelings in the world is feeling like you've spent a lot of money and feel like a rich person. When you can walk around a city and not care about what you're buying because you have so much saved up it doesn't matter.

One other thing about the Acreage Holdings RTO. I will post this once and only once so write it down ir screencap if you wanna be a baller gambler:

One of the buyers during the PP was Quinsam Capital Holdings (CSE ticker: QCA). They bought $990,000 worth of shares for cheap very early in the PP rounds back in May. If Acreage pumps like it's expected to, QCA share price will rocket due to the compound gains they make on their Acreage shares.

Tilray is fucked. The others... eh. It depends. Seems like there is a feel that Tilray's bubble popping is the cause for the all the other dumping but I'm hesitant to subscribe to that theory. Tilray is US based. It has different timeline than the Canadian LPs. Canopy/Aphria/Aurora are dropping for technical reasons just as much if not more so than they are doing sympathic dumps for Tilray.

My portfolio explains my position on the sector maybe better than I can describe:

>small position on HVT warrants
>started a fresh position on RIV today with expectation that I will cost average a number of times before I see upside
>opened very small new position on RTI just because of buy volume near end of day (nevermind the market-on-close downtick today)
>75% cash for cost averaging and deep dip buying

So, confidence low.

Further explanation on my strategy here. Because RIV is a brand new listing, I have no basis for guessing the bottom other than the PP price of 3.50 a couple months ago. I could drop that far but I think it will find support somewhat above that level. This is uncharted waters so I buy in small chunks starting at the first level I'm guessing it may bounce from. If it bounces at any point, I take profit and reassess the situation from there. I am very bullish on RIV for the next month or so but it must establish support first before it can do anything likely to hold up.

You can successfully swing trade any stock. The price doesn't matter so much as the current market cap relative to revenue and future potential revenue. You want something marginally undervalued relative to sector peers in a good chart position for an entry. Volatility is your friend in swing trading so it's usually a waste of time to try swinging gigantocorps that move like glaciers.

Also, if you can find companies that meet the entry criteria described above, focus in on the ones that have relatively small number of shares in circulation. Swing trading a stock with share price of $10 and 10,000,000 shares out is better than a stock with share price $1 and 100,000,000 shares out. Smaller the number of shares out in the market, the harder the price can move.

Do a lot of research, research some more, and watch what you've researched in action. Be patient with anything you decide to buy and don't get fucked by the trade fee. There is nothing wrong with not buying something that doesn't feel right.
Also: divs are your fren. And be sure to thank your dad; that's a very nice and thoughtful gift. Most dads won't let you pick up the check, so maybe cook him a good dinner or help him with a project around the house.
