That sucks, but IMO don't make any rash decisions. I'm long with a cost of $38, and have been getting into it for the last 3 years. I've bought at prices above the current price over the last 4 months.

You can either stomach the pain, or you can't. You either think the risk/reward of This Time It's Different, or of the obscene value and hopefully rational supply discipline of the oligopoly will work, or it won't. You either want to stick your dick in the GS analysts ass and fuck the jews, or you want to give them your money by being a scared little NPC.

Commissions will fuck you if you actively trade your stocks
A $6.96 commission means they'll charge you $6.95 every single time you make a trade
If you trade frequently, that'll add up fast
If you want to use a platform that charges commissions over something like robinhood, then the only real reason to do so is because they offer better research tools and advising
Take advantage of that and find good stocks to hold over a long term period

Currently 100% in VTSAX but I’m looking at some other ETF and MF options and some of them look pretty good with 10%+ historical returns compared to VTSAX’s 7%. You have to have at least $25,000 to be able to day trade (you're marked as a pattern day trader if you make more than 3 day trades in 5 trading days otherwise)

How much money you make depends entirely on your own personal decisions, there's no real way to predict it

Position trading (holding shares for weeks, months, or years) is a much safer and often more effective option

Have gained! Yes ! Hesitated so
This side the victory !

Life is but life, and death but death !
Bliss is but bliss and breath but breath !
And if, indeed, I fail,
At least to know the worst is sweet.
Defeat means nothing but defeat,
No drearier can prevail !

And if I gain, — oh, gun at sea,
Oh, bells that in the steeples be,

No one knows. It’s a chink meme. Think of it like a shitcoin but even worse.
It ended up positive about $7 in after hours, almost doubled in one day. It’s a wild card.
Due to lack of selloff at end of trading today, the consensus is the stock has room to go up because people believe in it past day one.
Honestly looking at the company, they don’t even have their own factory and have sold only 500 vehicles.
Again, it’s chink shit.

it's possible to make trades during pre-market (4:00 AM to 9:30 AM) and post-market (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) during the weekdays, but not all brokers give you that option, but it's harder to actually execute buys and sales, because there are much fewer people trading during those hours

At a meeting I ran today an old man literally gently placed his hand on my binder and slowly shut it. He then proceeded to tell me for 45 minutes how any investment/insurance/annuity is a scam and the only way to produce wealth is to own land. He was just a fucking high school campus cop, but apparently his family dating back to his great great great great grandfather have exclusively invested in the buying of land in rural areas for the next generation to flip for 50-400x profits.

He then spent an additional 15 minutes telling me how charts, TA, and any kind of economic analysis is for retards and that the only way to measure US economics is by the activity of the Railroads. 80% of all US goods move across our borders using the rail lines. If you check the major shipping companies and their productivity is down that means goods are not moving and the economy is shit no matter what anyone says. The soviet Union kept their rail line running 24/7 until their fall as a way to encourage their people that everyone was fine, even when it got expensive to do so and they were not shipping anything.

TLDR: Old man scheduled a meeting and then raped me with his superior knowledge on trains and dynasty of country farmland lords.

those are both lagging indicators senpai
take a look at what usually happens to IPOs
they go str8 up, then they go str8 down
theres no shorts, simply panic chaining together

now remember that this particular IPO is a security that is illegal to own in the US so its being held by some offshore OTC company that holds the stock for you. then look at the various regulations (or lack thereof) that are in the OTC market in terms of MMing and liquidity.

P/E ratio: companies do this thing called "earning" "money". well, some of them do, anyway. (Some say that this is the entire point of this whole Capitalism game! others disagree, it's all very complicated)

every quarter a company will release numbers on how much money it has earned. if you take this amount and divide it by the number of shares outstanding, you then have the amount of earnings for each share, and if you take the share price and divide it by that EPS, you have the ratio between the share price and the amount of corporate earnings that the share is "worth". some companies (basically, companies where the investors expect a lot of future growth) trade at a high ratio. companies where the investors expect a basically steady stream trade around the 8-15 range these days. companies where the investors expect earnings to shrink will trade even lower (like, MU, for example)

non-tech, huh? what's your timeframe?

for retail, I think PLAY has a bunch of room for growth medium term (a few years) but they just beat earnings so the stock is up right now

frac sand (HCLP, SLCA) feels undervalued right now, but on the other hand it might never recover depending on how US energy policy evolves, it's hard to say.

I like booze companies as low-risk long term holds; SAM and DEO and BF.B are my favorites, BF.B is cheap right now because it's getting hit with trade war FUD

RGR is the best gun company but I'm waiting on a lower entry to buy back in

CXW and GEO are high-dividend REITs that own private prisons; if you think the US is basically gonna stay fucked, go long there

Not because I don't think it's going up in the long term, but because everything that is worth shorting and should be getting shorted heavily has an SSR on it and I don't feel like waiting in line on the offer to either a) potentially miss the drop and have to chase or b) get filled because all of the offers are dropping off to get a better price and I get insta-stopped.
