To me being a npc is just giving into the repetition of life. The protagonists are always doing something different. Npcs just follow the cycle of life.

The meme is still unripe, but with potential. The boomer wojak was also annoying at first, then it gained depth by becoming some kind of nostalgic swansong of a generation, plus the best Monster marketing campaign up to date. The NPC meme can serve as a reminder and a warning that we can and sometimes do become NPCs, caught in the horrid routine of life, laziness and wagecuckery. We put up the mask, while silently weeping because we lost pur spark of life and will to power, only to adapt to a society we despise for the sake of some kind of contentment.
