How safe is Tencent among the Chinese meme stocks?

I'm mildly pissed off about how today when. All my fault, too. Harvest One Cannabis (HVT) broke above bull flag this morning and I was well positioned for it. Set trailing stop loss as I normally do, only a hair closer than normal because HVT is a shit stock and their financials suck hard, meaning pump n' dump likely. Anyway, the stock retraces down to exactly the price of my stop loss, trips, position flushed, proceeds to close +30%. Fug. Now... I can't be too mad as that trade was already well in the green for me and I did still make a couple grand off it. But fug anyway. It'll probably keep going tomorrow cause the dude weed gonna dude weed.

Even if you assume you cannot win in the sense of realizing greater percentage returns than investment firms, that's not really the goal of stock trading. Your goal as an independent retail investor is to make money for yourself. The question is more, are you better off with ETFs and mutual funds than you are trading individual tickers? You absolutely can make money as an independent day trading or swing trading or value investing. You also can, without a great deal of trouble so long as you're not terrible, beat the market indices.

It ran pretty hard since listing on September 7th and is now in consolidation range (high volatility). They are involved in the CBD supplement sector and run mainly out of Colorado.

Calls are when you think stocks will go up, puts are when you think they will go down.
Strike price is the price you think the stock will reach. The riskier a call/put is (ie: higher call strike/lower put strike and short expiration) the cheaper it is to buy. The closer the strike price is and the further away expiration is, the more expensive the option is to buy.
Basically, high risk = cheap, low risk = expensive. Also there's a time decay.
