SherlockLink new info:
>>/biz/thread/11046177#p11049459

Leverton and Kira Systems are basically involved in using ML/AI to make handling contracts easier. Freshfields is "a member of the Magic Circle of elite British law firms" that made use of Leverton and Kira Systems' services. That's just an abridged version so just check it out for yourself. Don't want to bother explaining shit since the connections are what people care about, I only mentioned some info to have context regarding their possible connection to LINK

Leverton:
CEO follows Adelyn Zhou on Twitter [1]
"Blockchain is here to stay" - CEO [2]
"The property world will eventually move to smart contracts" - exclusive interview w/ Leverton [3]

Kira Systems
I can't find shit except their relationship with Freshfields [4]
and how Freshfields utilized both Kira Systems and Leverton [5]

Freshfields
They have an article regarding smart contracts, which included this statement: "While smart contracts cannot judge if a condition has been reasonably met, or if a document has been satisfactorily provided, there maintains considerable potential in creating standardised protocols for repeat transactions, where negotiated agreements are not the norm." [6]
Accord Project welcomes Freshfields [7]

Also, maybe [3] ties in with this anon's larp >>/biz/thread/11046177#p11049135 regarding UK, since Leverton has a base in London. I don't want to give it too much weight but might as well include anything, we're all just speculating anyway

That's all I got. I didn't do much besides searching x + blockchain/x + smart contracts/x + oracle/x + accord. Leverton and Freshfields seems promising. GL anons

What conference did AL attend last month. What companies did he speak with that mention implementing chainlink, most through openlaw/accord channels. Imagine machine learning pulling key info from paper/digital docs and automatically creating smart contracts based on this info. Why is Sergey hiring people from law and AI fields?

We use Kira Systems for AI doc review, particularly in our Real Estate practice, but again it is one of a suite of tools which we use in our Real Estate practice, some of which are developed internally, to enable us to automatically push and pull data to and from a range of sources such as the Land Registry, HMRC and our client’s own internal systems. Amongst this suite of tools is also Orbital Witness, one of our MDR LAB graduates, which we use to speed up title diligence in real estate transactions.

The law firms generally described by commentators as comprising the Magic Circle are Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Linklaters.
from Wikipedia.
Linklaters was already mentioned before many times in LINK threads. I guess it's a race to utilizing this new technology that would let them stay at the top for these forms? Even if it doesn't relate to LINK at least it's bullish for smart contracts, although they're partnered with Accord already so who the fuck knows?

>So, should lawyers and legal service providers be worried about losing work to Ethereum and other blockchain-based platforms? Noah Waisberg, whose company, Kira Systems, uses technology to analyze and review existing contracts, isn’t too worried about losing business.

>“If everyone wrote their contracts in blockchain, then you probably wouldn’t need a system like ours for newly executed agreements,” he says. “Even if that were to happen, companies would still have plenty of legacy contracts that would need to have their data extrapolated, and that’s where we would come in.”

>Waisberg says he’s skeptical about whether smart contracts will catch on. “Many times, a dispute arises because of an unforeseen or unanticipated event,” he says. “I don’t see how contracts as code would be any different.”

>Even blockchain proponents caution that there are limits to what smart contracts can do. “I think they’ll always be somewhat limited,” Hansen says. “Would you buy a house based on a smart contract? Probably not. But would you buy something on Amazon where you’d agree to release money only after the delivery drone crosses a certain point? Maybe.”

Jason Parser? He’s Rory’s dad. He’s got a problem with Sergey because when Rory and Sergey were friends when they were younger, Sergey used to raid the cupboards and eat everything in the house. It cost Jason Parser a lot of money to replace all the food Sergey used to eat. The final straw was when Sergey was staying at Rory’s one night and stole his car when they were 15 to sneak out to a McDonald’s drivethru. Rory’s dad Jason thinks Sergey is a bad influence on his son and does anything he can to stop them being friends or working together. Why do you think we haven’t heard from Sergey in so long? 100 reply link thread again. A year ago I’d ignore link threads I really thought it was just the “shill of the week” especially with the whole scam ico fud and Sergey sitting underneath that umbrella with a suitcase I just brushed it off as another project. Then I got to thinking and feeling I was missing something. I got this feeling that what if I was missing the one project that be a game changer and it’s right under my nose this entire time. I’d look back in a few years and say why didn’t I just research it for 10 mins. Well I did. I started reading about oracles. Then I realized how smart contracts worked and everything clicked. I’m still retarded and don’t know how link works on a technicality level but on philosophical game theory level I understand based on my poker past. I could be tremendously missing the mark but I have to think oracles will be a major game changer in the coming years. It’ll be interesting to watch how it all plays out.

If I could change anything, I would make love to Sergey the night of the fight. He was in heat and tipsy off ketchup martinis. We were cruising down Hollywood Blvd at two in the morning in a baby blue 1970s mustang, top down, and smoke billowing into the air. I could hear the ocean crash, and a full moon rolled against the horizon. He turned to me at a stop light, gazing softly into my eyes, and said, "I've never loved anyone, like I love you" - we kissed passionately, I could taste salt and relish on his chapped lips. I noticed the light turn green out of the corner of my eye, his strong hand met my thigh and I heard him let out of soft moan, "Linkie..." - I jolted up and pushed him back. I thought this was another man, he'd already cheated twice and I told him it was over if he let it happen again. It broke into a huge argument on the beach. I told him never to call me again, and went home. He sent letters, emails, flowers, big macs, I ignored him. I only realized years later, what he meant when I read those words he wrote to me.

I just assume that the DocuSign partnership is confirmed at this point. What with Tom Gonser's tweet and all. I mean, I don't know why the fuck would Tom Gonser pin the tweet shilling LINK. So with that in mind, there's literally no other way of "verifying document evidence via blockchain technology" without using oracles. They've even specifically mentioned Ethereum blockchain so there's no private blockchain that may have built-in oracle functionality. That's my train of thought at least

UK Land Registry selects Corda for blockchain

>Today at Corda Con R3’s CEO David Rutter announced that Her Majesty’s Land Registry (HMLR) chose Corda for blockchain development. The project aims to explore how to make the house buying process in the UK faster, simpler and more transparent.
>The initiative is part of the department’s ‘Digital Street’ program. This is the second phase of its blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) research and development program, so the focus is on Proofs of Concept.
>HMLR processes 1.8 million applications per month. The organization has a vision “to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.”
>The work will impact all participants in the land registration process. In addition to the buyer and seller, it includes lawyers, conveyancers and mortgage providers.

That debunks his larp, right?

>> No.11061421

>>11061388
Why? Seems like he was correct.
There are 2017 articles about the land registry showing interest in blockchain
https://www.artificiallawyer.com/2017/07/18/uk-land-registry-says-may-explore-blockchain-for-property-ownership/
and 24 hours ago their twitter tweeted about their team being at Cordacon
I don't think the poster was an insider, (his group) just connected the dots?

But I'm not sure how that involves chainlink. Corda is part of Accord, but doesn't they use their own oracles?
https://www.ledgerinsights.com/r3-corda-legal-industry-accord-project/

>> No.11061455

>>11061421
Corda does not have decentralized oracles. Thus the question is: Why wouldn't they implement Chainlink's oracles into their existing platform through Accord?
