Something I noticed, but not sure if it's legitimate. When a stock has a short sale restriction it seems like the bids and the asks spaz out a lot more than they do on stocks that don't. They're like really choppy moves. Am I just imagining this or does this have something to do maybe with liquidity issues (on the short side I'm guessing...) since short sellers have to try to sell on an uptick and if they can't get all the size they want, price falls, and maybe then they cover for a quick scalp, then it's back up on an uptick potentially and so on. Just seems like there's a lot more nonsense and risk is harder to accurately define.
