What's the best crypto to use as an actual currency that will replace fiat? Bitcoin, Cash, NANO? I want to move my profits into something that will be used to actually buy shit and not a utility token or platform.

Are you serious right now OP? Crypto is never going to replace fiat....that's just a meme. Obviously crypto as a currency is a failed experiment. That's not to say it doesn't have it's place, but it's not something we're all going to be using for everyday purchases...ever.

People don't want to be their own banks anyways.

nano is just yet another fundamentally worthless alt, so you'd have to be a desperate bagholder to think anyone would ever want to actually buy any of it.

the desire to own the coin has to precede it being actually useful, bitcoin has already won at this, ethereum a close second, and everything else has next to no long term staying power.

bitcoin or any coin with a limited supply can never replace fiat. yell at inflation all you want, but a government HAS to be able to print it's own money for a million reasons. if they switched to bitcoin, they'd essentially acknowledge that those who own the 17 of the 21 mil already mined would have massive power over everything.

Why do you think currencies can't exist on a platform with dapps? They're best suited for such a use case because they have the built-in ability to interact with contracts and are fungible with other coins on the platform. Bitcoin & Nano is your the best bet. I mention Bitcoin because of BAKKT. With BAKKT it will soon be possible to use your BTC balance to pay fast & everywhere, unfortunately, the tradeoff will be centralization, as your btc payments will go through traditional payment channels, e.g. your BTC balance (BAKKT) -> convert BTC to FIAT -> top-up your debit card with that FIAT -> pay vendor. As for nano, if they continue to approach countries with a financial crisis (like Venezuela), it'll be possible that a new giant will be born, but this will take some time.

It still requires much time & adoption to see a flippening with fiat, but all checkboxes are set, and adoption increases as we speak.
