Read the OP, it already mentions the pros and cons right fucking there. IIRC Robinhood doesn't like day trading more than 3 days in 5 business days unless you're 25k+ and/or on a cash account. I see you're ready to lose 100k, so just go with Robinhood. And stay away from options until you have an idea of what the fuck to trade and how. When you're tired of losing try pic related and forget about it for about 5 years.

Read the OP plenty of times. I was asking if using TradingView to supplement Robinhood, despite no level 2 or time and sales data, is still worth the lack of fees.
So is it? Or is the IB trading platform so good (and thr slippage on Robinhood so terrible) it's worth the fees in ways TradingView and Robinhood together couldn't make up for?

Only (stupid) reason I'm leaning towards IB at all is because I want to trade Forex and it's the only broker I know with USD/KRW pair. Yeah the 25k pattern day trading limit isn't a problem. I'm testing this out with 100k and if goes well I'll start moving in more.

Ibroker meaning Interactive Brokers, yes? I've been watching the USD/KRW for like 9 months now and have transferred a few hundred thousand dollars in and out of it a few times usually through crypto but sometimes even with regular banks and a huge (1.1%) spread but I'm still profitable on this because I live in South Korea and read the news here.
Anyway my reason for choosing Forex is that I thought I could apply the sort of technical indicators that were useful with crypto and macroeconomics to learn this field. With stocks there's so many choices to choose from but with Forex I was hoping to develop a routine for myself and stick to it.

That being said I'm interested in jumoing into stocks too but cautiously.

everytime i think about "oh weeds def going up ill just buy a fatty call and be rich" or "lol short stock because its at a peak now and has to go down soon" then i seriously think about it and its impossible to truly know whether it will move up or down. theres millions of variables. its so hard to get an edge when everyone knows everything instantly.

i remember hearing Jim Cramer talking about how he literally calls up managers of companies to help make his decisions, and all im thinking is "soooo insider trading?"

only thing i feel safe doing is buying and holding some established or growing stocks that pay dividends. the old man buffet strategy lol.

Earning beat is a past event. You earn money by being right about the future.
SP drops because of poor guidance and overly optimistic expectations by the market.

A stock can drop heavily iff too much expectation has been priced in. Look at AAXN at Q218. It is a fantastic company which I feel will have the monopoly of the body cam market within the anglo civil armed forces. The SP dropped because their guidance was rather conservative and despite the beat.

A good investor should have an idea of how much has been priced in before buying a stock.

That's not what Buffet does. You value a company, you understand it so well, it's business and it's management and you look at the market price. If it's undervalued you buy it. You hold it for as long as it is undervalued until the market finds the right price, the price you know. It's buying a dollar for 90 cents then selling the dollar for $1.20. Its not a get rich quick way, it takes years and years of research and holding a few stocks as you shouldn't need to diversify.

But I feel consumer electronics and auto are at the end of the cycle. I fear there won't be enough cash flows from the equipment for imagers they just invested to cover the expenses and D&A. But I am pulling it out of my ass since I haven't analyzed their financial reports.

Consumer electronics are definitively end of the cycle right now, but auto is definitively not.
Plus, the equipment they bought for imagers can be used for RAM and other SOI-based technologies, so it's not fucked either. The only thing I can say is that right now they have 0% idle time on their tools.
However, I would never hold STM for long, because I worked there in the past and I know their management can be retarded at times.

It will very likely keep going up as the trend continues to hold. If a resistance fails to break it is a signal for reversal to test support levels. Next resistance at 26.20 on the daily - this is the big one to beat. Keep in mind that a breakout is confirmed when the candle closes above the resistance. Further, I wouldn't necessarily take a failure to breach 26.2 if it reaches that level today as a reversal, just look to the 1 & 4hr candles for guidance.

I currently live in Asia and Chinese real-estate's pretty dope. Not in of itself, but it's self propagating nature.

China is giving loans to foreign countries/entities and requiring Chinese construction be used, and once these delinquent country's can't pay, they seize the building and put it under a Chinese manager - what this partially covers.

It's not going to the moon. From my research, it's easily worth mid-teens, and it's at a low-spot from $7.50. Not something to dump your savings into, but a little bit of fun money can't hurt.
