Bitcoin didn't just get past it's previous ATH of $1k when it did it went to almost $20k. Does that mean when Ethereum goes back above its ATH of $1.4k it's going to $20k?

Nah. Marketcaps are much higher and I don't see ether being the bitcoin of smart contracts. It'll have to share marketshare with other platforms.
