Bitcoin Cash is trying to make this work for the whole world to use at the same time.
Literally fucking a few chinese scammers and neets in the usa use crypto right now, and BTC still couldn't handle the transaction load during the last bubble.

Stop thinking about just the present. Think about the future. Extrapolate.

so many people use crypto day in and day out and have for the better part of this decade. I for one haven't paid a bill with fiat since this time last year. even when the average tx fee was $20 for btc I just used eth instead. and let's not bother taking about DNMs and illegal gambling either.

BCH isn't fast or cheap, DGB and bitcoin core are 8 times faster. Since miners abandon BCH for hours on end regularly it's likely the slowest crypto around when it drops down to 2 or 3 blocks per hour. I tried using it to move between exchanges a few times, it's a nightmare compared to DGB, Doge and Eth.

>> No.10699333

>>10699317
You realize that each exchange has their own settings on how many confirmation blocks they require before you have access to your funds?

This has nothing to do with how fast BCH itself is. Also it's not cheap? It is a fraction of a penny per transaction.

You are a brainlet please don't buy BCH you don't deserve it.

Even when set to 1 conf BCH is slooooow. BTC tx are cheap as well but BCH is slightly lower, lower = better therefore alts with even cheaper tx = better right? Seriously, even with 1 conf you can be waiting 20 or 30 minutes because chink miners went back to mining BTC for a few hours. It's not really usable.

True but nothing is stopping anyone from running a full node like you're supposed to. Crypto is supposed to be peer to peer. If your using an exchange, it's centralized, your transaction is known and it's very easy for you to lose all you coins. Happened to me once. Now I run full nodes for all my coins and store my wallet files offline.

Maybe when you average entire days. Reality is BCH regularly drops to 2 block per hour then the miners all pile in as the difficulty drops. It's not usable as peer to peer cash. Alts with shorter block times are so far ahead in terms of being useful cash. Cashies are completely and utterly delusional.

When running a full node BCH is one of the slowest crypto around, 30 minute block times are a regular thing, the difficulty adjustment means miners will quickly switch to BTC mining any time there's a decent amount of fees in the mempool leaving BCH with no hashpower for a while. When sending full node to full node BCH is the absolute slowest top 50 or 100 coin around. LTC, DGB and Doge are so much more reliable as peer to peer cash that BCH is a complete joke in comparison.

Has crypto become a giant joke?

My answer via a story:

A wannabe butter monk messaged his Master about an altcoin he wanted to buy. The Master told him it was fated to moon. "It's only $0.10 per coin." "Buy me 1000 coins," replied the wannabe.

The following day, the coin was at $0.20. Seeing this, the monk texted his master and told him to buy him 5000 more coins. The day after the monk checked his exchange and the coin was at $0.40. Eager to contact his master, he told him to buy 10,000 more coins.

Checking online the following day the monk now saw the coin was valued at $0.90. Thinking what a windfall profit he had made in just a few days, the monk raced to see his master and told him, "Sell all my coins!"

"To whom?" the master replied. "You were the only one buying that coin."

And thus the butter monk was enlightened
