It is impossible to say. No startup company is a sure thing, and most actually fail. By 2020, Link will be worth somewhere between $0 and $2.00 USD is my guess. I also believe the cryptocurrency "moon days" are over due to large scale media saturation regarding the space. Potentially making 8x your money in less than 3 years is a phenomenal opportunity though. If you want to make higher returns than that, you likely need to become a much more sophisticated trader and/or wait for another highly speculative bubble to evince.

Moon days can come back if the market takes off and actually gets adopted--you have to remember how tiny the market is right now vs the potential for growth if it becomes even half as popular as the commodities or global currency market. It just might take longer than a month, though. I don't know if we'll ever see everyone throwing billions at random vaporware shitcoins in search of the next BTC or ETH to make them go 100x in a month again, though.

Why should cryptocurrencies have a market value anywhere near commodities? Also, do you really think cryptocurrencies will actually replace existing fiat currencies (and by that I mean, you can buy in now and governments will just accept and use a currency that they cannot control)?

If the latter instance were to occur, there would be a MAJOR international revolution in politics and economics, and neither of us could even imagine how that would look.
