OK.
Polo shirt, slacks. If not, best things you've got.
Your strengths are dedication and willingness to get the job done. If you have anything else you're proud of, throw it in there.
When they ask about weaknesses, talk about a time you screwed up, but fixed it. If that's not good enough, tell them 'I'm working on improving X' instead of saying you're bad at something.

Eye contact for several seconds at a time. Try to engage and ask questions. 'What's a busy time like at this location?' 'What are the options for promotion?'

Basically, imagine you're a manager. What sort of things would convince you to hire a guy?

Don't look all nervous and scared during the interview. Be confident in your answers and make eye contact when you speak. Don't sound like you didn't prepare, when they ask you questions, have an answer ready. Be personable and make them think you will be a cool dude to work with. That's really the main thing. I've never worked at McDonalds but when I hire desktop support people I hire the dudes that are socially adept because I can teach a monkey to fix a computer.

>> No.10608273

>>10608079
Oh and one other thing that I forgot. Come up with some things you can ask about. When they ask you if you have any questions, ask some stuff like you are really fucking interested in the answers. As someone who often interviews people, if people don't have anything they want to ask about by the end of the interview then I'm probably not going to hire them because I'd rather have someone that shows a fucking interest in their work and their workplace.

Harder than you think, I've been sending my resume every summer to dozens of fast food chains since I was 18 years old and I never even got to the interview part. They get TONS of applications and have plenty of people to chose from.

>> No.10608415

Is an interview a good sign? I've never gotten this far. Do they interview everyone?

>> No.10608439

>>10608278
>How?
Usually before you go to an interview you do some research about the company, about the specific place you're going to be working, and you have an idea of what you are going to bring to the table in terms of your skills and abilities, experience, etc. I just mean that when they ask interview questions (and most of the time for basically everyone these are fairly standard) but if someone asks "Why do you want to work here?" what are you going to say? "I need money?" Everybody needs money. Why do you want to work _HERE_, you know? It helps to spend a bit of time before the interview thinking about the kinds of questions that are likely to be asked and what you might say in response to those questions, because not fumbling your answers and tripping over your words goes a long way towards impressing potential employers, especially at the entry level. Also when people interview for jobs and answer questions confidently without a bunch of "Umm..." that's a sign of someone who's got all their shit in one sock because if I was interviewing for maccas and I got one whiff of "this dude might just not show up someday because he hates his job," I'm not gonna call that person back, you know?

It's all about preparation. Confidence comes with preparation.

I dunno man, I think the point is that you should ask yourself that question. Nobody expects you to stay in a job at mcdonalds forever probably so it's not like you need to pretend that you're gonna make a career out of it. Just make something up that you can agree with so it doesn't sound fake when you say it. I've always said that often the best lie is the truth.

Eh could be anything. Maybe something about how you like working as part of a team or something. It doesn't matter if it's bullshit or not as long as it's not obviously a lie. The more important thing is that you actually have an answer for it because most people don't and they just go something like "Uhh.... *shrug* I need money I guess." and if you say almost anything besides that then they will know you actually put a bit of thought into it and didn't just walk in after posting a thread on 4chan saying that you didn't prepare for your interview whatamigonnado!

Good luck!

You go and get the job. Then you make sure you are doing the customer service and then you use that to jobhop to something slightly less shit like target or something.
