The fact that you guys are talking about it means it is working. If I was going to move a large amount, I would want to do it as discreet as possible to not fuck up the flow of things. Everyone all of a sudden sees a huge wall, and changes their strategy based on what the owner of that wall is trying to do. Too much commotion and eyeballs on that. Then buys/asks will be changed.

Buy wall = people going OH SHIT HES GONNA BUY UP THE ORDERBOOK and jumping it. Meanwhile, that same whale secretly buys those buys up.

After a couple hours, that wall will be pulled and all that buy pressure gone.
