It doesn’t take a beating because it actually has a (very shady) use case that gives it some stability, but that same shady use case spooks a lot of speculators from ever buying it in the first place so you get lower pumps but also lower dumps. It’s becoming the coin of choice for darknet markets as law enforcement learns how to track transactions via BTC blockchain.
