It consumes the weak minded and the desperate. It promises extreme wealth to those who hold the "secret knowledge" that anyone could obtain if they opened their eyes. Like me. I'm all in.

We have this thread almost everyday now. Some newfag like you asking if this is a meme. There are a few types of replies. The people who don't believe and fud. The people who believe and fud for fun. And the ones who believe and try to help.

Is link for real? Or is it just a meme? You have to realise almost all the promises around link come from this community, the bag holders. The team doesn't talk shit, at all. Radio silence. At the very least, it's not some hype scam trying to get dumb money. Whales don't move the coin much either. The volume and price has been pretty dead for a while now.

Link is pretty crazy no matter how you look at it. Just look at the problem they're trying to solve. The Oracle problem. People even call that a meme. But it's real. We need a way to grab off chain data in a trustless manner, so it doesn't defeat the purpose of blockchain. No one talks about it in any serious manner. It's kind of just brushed off. But for high value, volume contracts, it's important.

Because there are so many use cases for link, people tend to connect everything to link. They're not entirely wrong. If link succeeds as planned it will become the default Oracle for smart contracts. Just plug and play. This is huge by itself, but the mythos of link was created from the larpers. They've boosted the supposed connections of link sky high. But there are plenty of concrete connections out there, sibos and swift being the biggest.

What do you want to know? I'll try and answer if anyone has any questions. I'm not an expert, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

I can't think of any legitimate fud. Link is a solid project targeting a problem that needs to be solved. The connections we've found might not be real. But even then that doesn't mean it'll be a failure. Just not top 5. You can ask anyone for fud, but most of its pasta nonsense. if you're legitimately looking for fud, two holes I've come across are scaling and reputation. If it's the real deal, how will link handle the expected traffic while being limited by ETH's chain? How will node reputation work? If there are centralized reputation providers, you've just kicked the can down the road
