The Fun memes have slowly died off. Back in December, there was always at least one Fun thread and the memes were always fresh. Now, it's rare to find a Fun thread and the memes are stale.

It doesn't matter how great the tech is. Nobody is doubting the legitimacy of the project. It's just that nobody EVER will want to gamble in terms of FUN. Normies want to gamble with USD. Crypto gamblers want to gamble with BTC. The problem FUN solves with delayed payouts, getting scammed, and rigged games just aren't widespread enough for people to redifine their entire mindset to gamble in terms of FUN token.

It will be literally over a year before they can somehow peg FUN to a stable coin for use within games. There's other projects and coins that just are better investments.

This is simply false, people are using Etheroll already like crazy. When this hits people will absolutely use it.

Let anon chase the pumps like 0xBitcoin .... I just keep increasing my stack. This is one of the few legit projects in this market and it will pay off big. The tiniest amount of research will show you this....

> When this hits people will absolutely use it.
I disagree strongly. The market seems to disagree as well. It's a real pain to turn USD into BTC or ETH and then turn that into FUN and then back into BTC or ETH then back to USD.... normie money will never ever do this.

>>10372485
I mistakenly used the term "peg". I meant that in the future casinos will be able to lock in your exchange rate so that you can gamble in terms of USD while using FUN in the background. This I know for fact is being looked into/worked on.

>> No.10372835

Because you never turned your fiat into btc into altcoin? Never say never. As far as volatility goes, as this market becomes more liquid it will become less and less volatile. I have not heard anything regarding locking in exchange rate...sounds to me like the meme of locking in btc price in ledge nano. Got a source?

>>10372598
It is a pain to exchange between different tokens now; but once the infrastructure exists it will be much simpler. Coinbase is adding 0x for a reason, it will make it exchanging tokens as simple as pushing a button on a dAPP and not signing up for an exchange and depositing tokens and sending them back to a desired wallet.

Yes, once it exists it will be simpler. But what FUN needs is either direct USD to FUN or for token exchange to be so simple and quick that it's not a hassle to turn BTC or ETH into FUN. None of that is happening for at least a year, maybe more. Which is why this token is bleeding in favor of more immediately successful products.

>>10373921
Jez San on Telegram has actually said that they're looking into temporary locked rates for games using stablecoin integration, so that you can use FUN in the background but gamble in terms of USD (and also avoid price fluctuation while you're in the state channel). I really don't know what to tell you. Sorry you don't know shit about the very project you're shilling. Pic related.

Something that's been bothering me: why is it apparently difficult to buy tokens with USD like this?

>> No.10375044

>>10374910
Worst part is that when they implement what anon above said, with the stable coins, FUN will go extreme utility status. People will only hold FUN for the short duration of their play, then cash out to 0xBTC, ETH, BTC, USD stable coin, etc immediately. If FUN investors knew the first thing about token economics they'd realize that increased movement (formally called token velocity) leads to decreased price. FUN will exist in the background for utility but it will have no value to hold.

Crypto to crypto trading is relatively easy since the website and company can be located virtually anywhere in the world.

Fiat to crypto is harder because fiat transfers tend to be traceable back to individual accounts and people. I can't send USD to another country and expect it not to raise some red flags. And since these tokens still have dubious security status in many countries, especially the US, no registered/licensed/legit exchange will allow you to trade USD for these tokens yet. It was an uphill battle just to have BTC listed, and that's a clear cut case.

Yeah, that's actually sort of my fault. I made a LOT of the FUN memes. Then after losing over 100k of value in my portfolio, I sort of went quiet for a little while. My bad guys. But trust me, when the market in general starts a proper bullrun again, the memes will go on their own bullrun.

I'm not selling until we hit $1. And even then, I won't be selling my whole stack. I'm just a small fish with a little over 300k FUN. There were a number of anons here with 1M FUN or more. I know one guy with a stack of ~3M FUN sold recently. Strong hands prevail lads.
