Either it is decentralized where the same work has to be redone several times for redundancy(more costly since decentralization is always more costly) or you trust a single node that much, so it could be done in a centralized cloud provider from the beginning.

And in the end it does not matter. You can obviously encrypt files for cloud/storage or similar but you can NOT encrypt distributed computing (muh super slow hackable sgx do not matter).

Other nodes have to be able to read the data to process them, so all the decentralized websites need to work unencrypted.

okay lets say low security is enough and you only set it to 10x node redundancy. You think those nodes will work for LESS than 1/10th what a centralized cloud provider would demand?
