Got into Bitcoin in 2010. Got into Ethereum in 2015.

You're looking at the new paradigm shift.

So why even bother with holo and not choose one of the many cloud service providers?

Either it is decentralized where the same work has to be redone several times for redundancy(more costly since decentralization is always more costly) or you trust a single node that much, so it could be done in a centralized cloud provider from the beginning.

>> No.10349922

exactly kek. they openly admit that the Holo token is not neccessary to build dapps on holochain. Holo is just the first shitcoin ico launching on top of holochain, if you buy you just make the dev team rich kek. I repeat for brainlets, Holo token will very likely be useless and not increase in value even if holochain reaches adoption.

>> No.10349951

>>10349905

This lol. And wtf do you even need the token? Also the team is full of boomers, feminists, lesbians and SJWs? Those kind of teams are just doomed to fail.

Promether already solves what you are talking about you stupid faggot.

Also no one in here is talking about how it works, it's sharded like any other swarm hosting so it takes many multiple nodes, you set a redundancy factor that will then seed it to the network to meet your needs.

FUD without reading or watching anything is weak.

>> No.10350051

>>10349922
Oh ok who else has launched hosting and compute on any decentralized network since it is so easy and will be replaced?

Protip, no one has done it yet and you are a fucking retard and don't know what you are looking at.

>> No.10350060

So people will get their cheap hosting on here and it scale horizontally and they will use the easy to run exe to rent out their computer end of story. Unless someone beats them to market on their own code with thousands of servers which is very unlikely

>Promether
you mean that whitepaper without technical details. Sure bud.

And in the end it does not matter. You can obviously encrypt files for cloud/storage or similar but you can NOT encrypt distributed computing (muh super slow hackable sgx do not matter).

Other nodes have to be able to read the data to process them, so all the decentralized websites need to work unencrypted.

>Also no one in here is talking about how it works, it's sharded like any other swarm hosting so it takes many multiple nodes, you set a redundancy factor that will then seed it to the network to meet your needs.

okay lets say low security is enough and you only set it to 10x node redundancy. You think those nodes will work for LESS than 1/10th what a centralized cloud provider would demand?

Cloud computing is already very competitive.

Yeah I do because a node requirement is 50mb of RAM and single thread so you can just run it on your miners or whatever and get free income. You just are a dumb little slave that never looked into this and keeps posting.

The computing is secure, if you watch the Denver video it is discussed in great detail that I don't want to redictate but through API calls and routing (ala TOR) it is secure. Should a corporation or government put their secrets on it? No, just like how they don't put them on any cloud hosting. Use your brain.

Same practices that you use for current cloud computing you use here but now anyone can participate in the market.

this. thinking this will be valuable one day is delusional. holo hosting will be more expensive than cloud hosting providers by design (redundancy). why would normies switch to decentralized hosting if it's more expensive and slower? they won't.. but the real red flag was the team, seems they're a fucking sjw/feminist cult.

how sustainable is the mining approach? You obviously rely on miners mining other coins, in particular since less and less bitcoins are available and most coins go to a pos(ether) or not mineable at all approach.

>Same practices that you use for current cloud computing you use here but now anyone can participate in the market.

That is true. Obviously have a lower barrier of entry, which would mean more competition.

Also elaborate me the denver video or how you on a fundamental level process encrypted data in a trustless environment?

>> No.10350477

Dear lord, the sad attempt at fud in here is laughable. You guys obviously have absolutely zero fuckin clue about what you are talking about.

It actually scales the network as the miners join. More miners, the more resources are available to the network.

You encrypt it and then shard it just like every other encrypted DHT.

This is old tech guys and it is still widely used. They are just merging it with some new tech and machine learning and incentivizing it.
