Litecoin is no longer needed. 2.5 minute blocktime is way too long to have any significant advantage over bitcoin. It's literally ctrl+c/ctrl+v bitcoin × 4 - SHA-256 + Scrypt. Even Digibyte is better than LTC.

The only function it serves is as a testnet for Bitcoin.
