Let's talk about our current, past or futur business

> Want to start an ecommerce biz
> After several fb ads test, I found a good convertion rate with weaboo clothing products
> Don't want to do dropshipping because I can't control the packaging or add goodies
> I bought 500€ worth of cloths, with the money I made doing part time job
> I open a facebook page, Twitter, Instagram. I make good convertion with my facebook ads. I team up with a manga and anime fan page, they promote me several time
> After 3 months, still not one single fucking sales, only 5 added to cart
> I don't have any money left, have to stop everything.
> I have hundred of ugly weaboo shirt in my small bedrool
> Now I have to find another shitty job

I think I made too much basic error, but it was a fun experience.

Well, i'm a woman myself so I guess it should work.
I had a good convertion rates on my ad, close to 3%, but no sell at all. Too bad I didnt save them

I think its because I only sell Shingeki No Kyojin, Free!, and Totoro's clothing.
I had several people asking me for DBZ, one piece and naruto shirt. I underestimate the normie culture on anime.

At least I learned something I guess.

>good convertion rates on my ad, close to 3%, but no sell at all

Thats the problem. A conversion would be a sale, you are talking about CTR and 3% is bad. Did you splittest creatives (the image / video) and the ad copy? Also, what was the relevance factor of the ad? It should be 9 or 10 and everything below 8 means you fucked something up.

A CVR of 3% in a shop is okay but like I said that would be purchases. Did you use the pixel? Retargeting is the key in ecom. Use all relevant pixel events and do a custom audience from "add to card" users and visitors in general. Later on you can use these conversion ads but you need at least 50 purchases a week otherwise the algo fucks things up too.

Yeah, that's right anon. Just don't forget to sell lawn treatment services. That's where the real money comes from. You show up 6 times a year for 10 minutes and collect $300 (at least per the prices in my area); that's effectively $300/labor hour.

Use cheap lawn mowing prices to attract a large client base. When you come to mow their lawn, mention their weeds and flowers growing in their lawn and offer to treat the lawn every 2 months for $50. Do this everytime you show up to mow their lawn until they are subscribers. Make sure to invest in the right equipment to mow lawns quickly as they are a sales pitch & growth driver for your business.

2. Setup a basic affiliate Shopify app on the store, I recommend Enlistly because it's the cheapest by far.
3. Recruit Instagram accounts to promote for you and to sign up as affiliates, assign a coupon code to each Instagram account to use so you can track their sales and incentivize better conversions using the coupon code.

Do this over and over, it's literally the only marketing channel you need and it's free.

Some of these assholes make like 2-10k/month and they're all hot garbage. I think many even just trace. drawing is a huge timesink though and I'm autistic about quality so it takes me even longer. Unless I sell out, simplify a quick easy style, and unashamedly trace. Otherwise I am thinking of using the art to supplement the writing, almost like a LN. I want to attract people who want to better themself, who want to get something done in life, who have higher goals.
Which for me is improving in body health, mental health and lets call it soul health.

Most of those people do not know where to start, what to do to improve themself.
I want to create a central hub for those people.

I'm going to explain everything you've done wrong.
>Niche
Did you do any research to see how many people would buy your products on Facebook? Probably not. You need a healthy audience size to sell anything on Facebook
>Your budget
Spending $5/day will get you the data you need, but it will take weeks to actually utilize it. If you don't have at least $1.5k to spend on testing, don't even bother. If you don't have the capital to scale up ads, you're only fucking yourself. The relevance scores are good at 8+. You just don't know yet how to make your data profitable.
>Don't want to dropship
Great thing for people like me who know how to properly run FB ads and don't care if the anime trash isn't packaged properly. You shouldn't invest in inventory until you know you have a winning product. Otherwise prepare to get raped.

I've been doing E-commerce for years now. Seeing people fail isn't anything new. Learn from your mistakes and try again.

#1 you need initial capital to get started
#2 if you dont have enough capital you will need collateral for a loan or if your business plan looks strong enough and youve done your homework your might can find an investor.
#3 you need to find a market that isnt oversaturated already. Theres no point in opening a dragon dildo store if there are already 5 of them in a 10 mile radius.

I’m a salary man now, but if anyone is in college I had a pretty good little business I ran that I think is really replicable.

At my university, there was a big carpet manufacturing plant nearby, and they would sell “imperfect” carpet at giant discount. The carpets would usually have frayed edges, which really didn’t matter when you were just cutting them up into smaller sizes. Before the big dorm move in day, I would gather up all the exact dimensions of the dorms, and cut carpet to the specifications, to perfectly fit inside the room.

Then, I would rent a couple Uhauls and sell the carpets while everyone was moving in. Most people don’t bring rugs, they’re usually too big to haul across the state in a car, or completely forgotten about. But when the parents see the dorm, it usually looks like a prison cell. It’s so drab and depressing, and they usually think about how a little texture in the room can help it come together. At the time I was selling for $20 a rug and typically left with $5k profit split between a couple buddies. It ain’t a huge amount of money, but it definitely helped throughout the school year. I was also only hitting 2 dorm buildings at a time, could have expanded but wasn’t really worth the effort.

so, how do I go from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur?

I've had these ideas about helping small business and public offices sell their stuff more efficiently. I already have half of the basic technical stuff done, but I'm an unmotivated lazy fuck, slow as shit, and an obsessive perfectionist... so I end up with nothing concrete. I also need someone to control me, because I'm terribly disorganized, and being here in 4chan doesn't help at all...

right now I'm unemployed, but it has taken me a lot of time to do anything the time I've been unemployed (3 months).

also, I have other possibilities of getting money, some of which don't involve talking to random people, or even having a boss, but the stuff I could do is hard to do, technically speaking, and while the rewards are good, it takes time and luck to get shit done, while helping people would be rewarding on itself.

>Talk about your story, i am interested to know about you, you sounds like a great person.
I've lived in a few places with very different cultures, which made difficult for me to get used to people. my family was poor and sucked. since I was a kid, often times I was an idiot (that's kind of normal for a kid, isn't it?), but sometimes I would be blamed for things I didn't even do. I also went through some shady, and my own family didn't support me when I expected them to do it. on the contrary, some of them talked shit about me to other people. as an adult, I failed at university, and after dropping out, I got ill...
I've had the luck of being at the right place at the right time, yet I didn't take advantage of that.
/blog

right now I have some projects, but I don't know which one I should stick with, and, honestly, without listening to other people, I fear making dumb mistakes.
one idea is to use my technical knowledge to help people grow their businesses by making it easier for their customers to buy their products or use their services in physical stores and offices. the problems I can foresee is that I don't know if I'll be able to manage such thing, mostly because I:
- don't know everything (obviously), especially the managing the business part, and
- tend to overcomplicate things

the other idea is to keep doing some very technical and time consuming stuff I've done in the past, that needs some luck but can give high rewards.

yet another thing I could do is to work in IT, as an employee or as a freelancer, but that shit gets boring after a while. I know how to program small stuff that I could sell, but honestly, I don't enjoy programming, and have no idea what kind of shit do people buy.

in short, I'm now directionless and unemployed, and I waste a lot of time doing nothing of value...

First things first. Your main issue here is the lack of trust worthy people skilled in the areas you can't manage. Go out, meet some people, socialize a bit. Talk to friends of your friends. Spread word about your project around, but not too much, or don't give a lot of info, just the right amount to create interest on people. Generate the chance of meeting and knowing the people you need.

I am a developer and I did a lot of projects.

I will talk about my last one, not the first one since I don't know which one was the first really.

My last one was this: https://cryptoemojis.co/, a full week of work all day every day, I think not making it in form of a Ponzi scheme was the reason of its failure, I don't want to run a Ponzi scheme anyway.

For many years I launched many projects, some of them took me a year or even longer, I had a "nothing else matter" mindset where I sacrificed anything and everything to reach success. No career, no job, drinking tea all day and not caring for my tea, not going out for 6 months some times, not caring for getting my diploma or my forniture from the house I rented while studying (only 2 years after HS of studying)...

There was really no real success.

I tried dropshipping in the past too, I had costumers but since I am from a third world country, there was no option to have credit card payments, only PayPal and they must have an account.

What I sold was really cheap gadgets that look interesting,+ if there is a video about them somewhere since videos go more viral.

That was years ago.

You gotta sell the cloths at eBay to get some of your money back I think.

Hey guys how is this for an idea? I was just thinking how there are all these apps to deliver food or get rides, why not have a car repair service? Select where you want the car trouble to get inspected, guy shows up knocks on the door for your keys, finds out what the trouble is and then the app compares prices and gas costs for the repair, you select what you want and the guy shows up with your car fully fixed when it's done.

Obviously there can be problems with handing a stranger your keys but uber managed to make getting into a strangers car a normal thing for society.

Basically undoing the social decline of the last 50-70 years (without going full /pol/ don't worry)

I have this same idea.

I plan to crete website to address those people to a new philosophy, to encourage people to go out of their comfort zone and change their mindset.

It seems naive to just create or suggest a philosophy and expect them to change how they live, of course. My goal at the beggining is only to plant a seed on anyone interested. My point of view is that nobody change others, only a individual may change himself. The website would help them to understand how self-destructive is the comfort zone and encourage them to change their mindsets or at least to wish for a change, everything begins there.

You're wrong. Quality rec centers exist and have facilities that wouldn't really be possible for an aspiring entrepreneur to compete with. My community's rec has sports leagues for youths and adults, a pretty good gym (no squat rack though), activities ranging from weekly bridge games to canoe trips, and art classes, among other things. Membership is also exclusive to people who live or work in the community, which prevents resources from being spread too thin and helps keep civic engagement high because most people know each other. Only thing missing is the self-improvement books, but our county library system is top-notch, so we don't need it.

Of course, this is all in the suburbs. Maybe it could work in a super-urban area, but now you're competing with stores like REI and Whole Foods that are trying to create community spaces. Not to mention businesses like rock climbing gyms and yoga studios that create communities pretty naturally.

The idea is appealing, but it's reliant on a small, niche community, which prevents scaling up. And because you'd be in a high-rent area, you'd have to develop a core clientele very quickly

Yes there are single places providing some of these things but nowhere near the whole package.

I will have a closer look into QRC's.
Currently there is still nothing like it available here.

automated, manually checking the payments?
Are you using bankwire/paypal/crypto/paysafe...?

I made more from getting in early to shit like https://www.theaccountingblockchain.io/?aId=7543845-2892534 than any bullshit business. Explosive would be the word I'd use. My business now is finding a few reeeeally good ico's and pumping coin into them like a viking ravaging a ginger maiden.
