thing ive noticed is how similar this looks to other points of inflation. after USD and GSCI move together like this, once the dollar falls, we generally see oil and most commodities take the fuck off. but if you look at the left of the chart youll notice its almost the same thing. there was a head and shoulders formation, they ran in tandem for a bit, then another head and shoulders formation, that when completed, brings the GSCI/USD inverse relationship back in line. then its moon mission time for oil and many other commodities.

Also, from what I've read, there's an "unwritten rule" for companies that make up the DOW where they strongly prefer that the companies with the lowest share price aren't less than 10% of the companies with the highest share price. I think Boeing has the highest share price of any DOW component currently at ~$330 so that would mean that any companies with share prices of under $30 are in dangerous territory.

I know that share price doesn't mean anything compared to market cap but that's just something that I've read before.

Immelt was a gigantic mistake. They also seem not to understand that shrinking to profitability (better margins) is not gonna keep GE over $100B market cap. The only thing keeping it over $10 a share isprobably boomers who never check their 401ks. Granted, I think GE will be a buy at some point, but the pain is definitely not over.
