Dont let these seething neets get you done anon. Both me and my best friend got blown up right near Jalalbad in the Pech River Valley. We were out of FOB Joyce. He got medically retired an I was not that fucked up. He is missing 4 fingers and his right calf. An armor peircing rpg went through the hull of an MRAP and blew up inside.

The only reason he survived is because his rucksack was on his lap to block the schrapnel. My 100% best advice for you is to stay busy, and find SOMETHING productive to do. He became kinda an acoholic for awhile since he did not have to work but was able to turn it around by staying working even tho he doesnt need to. He does UBER Eats now just to get out of the house and have some form of productive work. Use the VA Loan asap to buy a home and live on a modest budget. Invest a lot of it, BUT keep doing some form of work. He has basically made it now since he bought the house back in 2014. Good luck to you bro.
