Here is my thoughts for my area of operations.
There are a wide variety of homes available, but generally for 20% down I will need 40k+. My investments total about 74k right now. So why on Earth would I buy a house? That's a lot of my money that could be better used to make more money.

Just turned 21. Should I focus on my career (software/developer) or should I give into peer pressure and focus on a relationship? I feel I can make huge strides career-wise in my early twenties, and focus on relationships in my late-twenties/early-thirties. I actually don't have much desire for a female relationship, because I don't ever want to have kids. And I think I'm asexual (to an extent) because I don't see the purpose in procreation seeing as life is inherently meaningless. Should I adopt a career centered mindset where I only focus on "getting money"? Not really sure what the point of life is. I'm not depressed, just not sure what people like me are supposed to focus on at this age.
