no you dingaling. you have to record trade to trade. if you bought 1 BTC at 5k, used it to buy $link and sold back to BTC making 2 BTC at 5k.. then bought the top of REN and exited losing 1.5BTC.. and cashed out your .5 via cbase.. you still owe for your stinky gains.. they were realized when you used them to buy REN. not to mention i made this easy by keeping the BTC price static ay 5k.. shit is a mess.

look, dont freak out. get a crypto tax person to help you and just prepare to pay. you arent going to jail anon. worst case, set up a payment plan, and pay the plan by getting a crypto loan. they arent taxed and you can hold off long enough to hit the bull run of the century. relax.
