Hey guys, I had a Numisfag question for more NatSoc-experienced collectors. I bought one of these for $25 today from a boomer collector. Condition is nice, pinged beautifully but it's really shiny. Not quite proof shiny, but maybe what would be called "Specimen", such as the US Special mint sets or the Canadian library of congress centennial dollar.
Is this normal for really nice condition Potsdam church 5 Reichmarks? I REALLY don't think it's cleaned, I don't see any kind of abrasion lines or loss of detail. But there's no cameo either, pretty much the whole thing is shiny like a lot of the early US proof sets. It has a slight cartwheel luster around the rims, too.
