I didn't want to believe it, in all honesty.
Yeah all the events leading up to this moment were really suspicious, but I told myself it was all a coincidence, all just the maddened ramblings of schizos and rednecks.
Everything that happened could be explained in a way that was potentially good for the human race.
"The people at the top wouldn't throw us all under the bus, right? Somewhere deep down, they must have a sense of decency and humanity... right?".
It was cope. I desperately wanted to take the blue pill but things just kept spiralling out of control, every day more and more "coincidences".
And what of the majority? Surely they could see something wasn't right?
