I believe that it is possible for Bitcoin to continue slowly adopting tech as it is tested in other chains and move forward with time. Bitcoin's slow approach may end up beneficial as some things turn out to be less functional than expected in the long run. The way Monero allows miners to increase or decrease blocksize at a cost is very interesting https://localmonero.co/knowledge/dynamic-block-size, but I am happy that it is being battletested before being considered on such a big chain such as BTC.
Nobody knows what the future of BTC looks like, but we do know it will be slow. I have high hope that issues will be resolved over time, but of course there's risks that it won't.
