I really hate to say it, but just watching anime like Kaiji and Spice & Wolf makes me more competent with money than 99.9% of people including money professionals (looking at you Taleb).

You know what, thanks for the perspective check OP. I was kind of bummed about my new PC build not working out this morning but my lifting is going well and I have other positive stuff in my life. This is a minor setback and I'll make back any money I lost on a broken mobo by mining anyway, so it's nothing to worry about. I think I'm going to go to the cafe and wear my wizard hat today, since the weather is nice.
