He didn't have the private keys back then. There was a backdoor in SHA256, which can only be cracked with a quantum computer. The final step is to have a quantum computer built into BitCoin. It's the beginning of BitCoin's final and new life cycle. You need to understand that BitCoin is a living thing - an infinite loop that cannot be changed/altered once the protocol is locked down. BitCoin's code is too perfect - that's why so many still don't understand it. The smartest 100 humans on earth wouldn't be able to write code that perfect.

For a new life cycle to start, there needs to pay a link all the way back to the original Genesis. Segwit, LN, and BCH fucked that up - because they don't understand what BitCoin is. They aren't connected to the Genesis block anymore - only one remains and the clock is ticking.
