Will GE remain a conglomerate or will it become a company with a distinct sector focus, like Boeing/Kinder Morgan?

It would be interesting to do a comparison of where its capital is allocated versus which divisions bring in the most profit. Inefficient capital deployment is an unfortunate symptom of managers being trained to build asset 'fiefdoms' within the group in order to bolster their own careers and influence.
