First, I want to say - thank you, OP, for a nice thread. I find that the Internet enables the creation of "digital villages," as you can call them - we know them of course as imageboards and forums - where people can come together and discuss things of interest in our virtual town square, even though we likely live hundreds of miles from each other. It's truly wonderful. I've also always been fascinated with the manorial lifestyle - so this is an especially nice divergence from the usual cryptocurrency threads, as valuable as those can be.

I've been thinking about founding one of those historical reenactment villages. Does anyone know if they tend to be profitable, or at least self-sustainable?
