I really can't stress enough the importance of ABB. Always being in the market is a time honored strategy that beats timers consistently. Unless you're a trading diety buying constantly will outperform whatever hair brained strat you think will work. Left is my retirement account where I just log in, buy, and log out. Right is my taxed account where I tried timing dips. I put a ton of effort into the right portfolio, only to get mogged by my lazy left portfolio. Hard slurping dips is certainly a good idea, but hoarding cash until "the big one" generally will result in worse returns.
