Janitorial services were picking up the mess of shredded magazines at this point, and the only acknowledgement Sergey ever made to the mess was when one of the older janitors fell over while leaning to pick up the pieces. He sort of covered his hand with his mouth, clearly holding back laughter. It was bizarre, but with genius comes inevitable personality quirks.

I discovered the same about my ADHD. In many cases ADHD is worsened by growing up in a highly stressful environment (see Gabor Mate's view on this).
In my opinion ADHD is likely highly environmental, and in most cases it exists as a defense mechanism.
iirc 50-70% of people who have ADHD were bullied and/or rejected by their peers in school. They're also 10x more likely to develop oppositional defiance disorder (defiance to authority) as kids so theres that. But desu developing that can be an advantage in the long-term.
The most fucked up thing was that ADHD meds forced me to feel pain again. At first I thought it was a side effect but turns out I had a bunch of unexamined stress that I was unable to see.
Like literally my body would tense up so much I would get a constant radiating muscle tightness from my lower back up into my neck. Had to take painkillers sometimes just to deal with it. Got into meditation and stretching. Helped me a lot. Learned to let go and forgive. As gay as it sounds that's what some people need.
I would suggest taking meds at least in the short term. It forces your mind out of its protective shell (things you enjoyed previously become less pleasurable) and they're really helpful for fueling creativity, at least in my case.
You're probably gonna experience a lot of uncomfortable shit. But once you adapt to them you're gonna be happy that you did and you will probably enjoy your life more. Might be a good idea to get off the medication or atleast lower the dose eventually though.

Should I join some club at my uni? Just started uni, studying IT. There's like this robot club, some techy club where they do shit with hardware and robots etc, then there's filming club, debate club, some "better yourself" club where you do projects with other people and then there's some parties or something. Idk it feels like it's just some normie bs thing to pass the time in uni or something. Currently I would just want to study uni, start going to gym again and work on my own projects, but I feel like I might miss some socialising shit. But then again I'll probably start socialising more with my classmates and go to some general uni events.
