funny you mention it, I did research at the Perimeter Institute related to quantum information:

They used superconducting josephson junctions to simulate quantum computation and utilized liquid helium to achieve the desired temperatures

we are still a far ways away from having room temperature super-conduction

im interested in making a firm that specializes in applying superconductors in already existing technology in order to improve its performance and scalability.

is this a viable venture in your eyes /biz/? i'd start off with just wires, then wound wires for electromagnets, then AC/DC motors for automobiles, then go into CMOS for cameras and sensors, MOSFETs in general for boosted range, CPUs, and hopefully build myself a superconducting empire at that point.

thoughts? would you invest?
