What do /biz/raelis think of this?

I have a home which has appreciated very well the last 5 years, have roughly $400k in equity in it now which is ~50% of my NW.

I think the market I'm in will continue to do well, but not THAT well. Maybe 5-6% annually now.

It's a decent investment, but I am thinking maybe I sell and aim for better yield elsewhere like the stock market, move to a cheaper COL city for a while (since I'm selling my house, might as well take full financial advantage) and aim to just accumulate more wealth with the $400k.

If it was a smaller % of my overall NW, like 10%, I'd consider the 5-6% fine and probably rent it out and just sit on the investment, but I think I can do better elsewhere.

Is that retarded or from a pure capital appreciate perspective am I right and the move is to sell and reallocate? I mean I can get like 5% in a fucking savings account right now.

I grew out of videogames this year (20yo) it was almost a revelation, I realized they weren't giving me real enjoyment but just a temporary dopamine rush that lead to nothing when the match finished.
I literally spent 1500h on one videogame I was obsessed with before I stopped... In 1500h I could have literally done anything.
Productive hobbies (where you create something) are much more rewarding.
I got into gardening and mycology. It's very interesting and gives you real world skills and results.

OP it's ok to enjoy vidya, but if you slowly start doing other stuff along with vidya you'll realize there are much better hobbies. gl
