Some people here seem to think that the coffee standard mentioned in the white paper is just a meme.
Actually 60% of coffee plants are at risk of extinction. A cup of coffee could very well cost $1000 in 2022. At least if we are talking about a cup of nice quality Kenyan coffee beans.
Sargey is a nature lover, and must be aware of this. He’s also an intrapersonal genius, it sometimes helps him to approach physical world’s phenomena through simple architypical objects like a coffee cup.
It’s always been his intent to couple the price to a coffee cup.
Sargey didn’t put the coffee standard in the white paper by accident. People should know that the cofee cup standard is not a meme and this shouldn’t be concidered only to be an area of interest for a small group of coffee entusiasts, like me.
