Gentlemen, why is VIX decreasing in such a linear manner? Look at it from June onwards. It's not just the size of the descent, but the shape. it's a straight diagonal line. I can't find anything like it in the past 5 years; VIX usually moves in a more parabolic manner, and usually has spikes. From a market perspective, what does this indicate? Health? Poor health? Low volume? High volume? What does it say about institutional participation, etc. Anything?
