That is definitely untrue here OP. Listen to some of the stuff being shilled on \biz, new ICO's, new mineable currencies and mining software at the bleeding edge.

Guys on here have bought into ICO's or shortly after before some currencies hit double digits on exchanges.

An easy one, just for example, was XLM, or XRP. These were widely known for their potential and not long ago, their low cost.
