It’s the only coin I can be arsed to mine as I support the usecase. One of the few with an actual usecase next to BTC.

With monero you have now way of auditing the total supply. "Trust the maths and code" no thanks. This is critiacal stuff, MONEY. NASA has failures all the time, and they spend hundreds of millions on preventing that. An infinite inflation bug could be used to milk the monero users possibly for years before finally dropping in the exploit and cashing in on a fat short sell.

This happened to Zcash recently and they have had incredible amounts of auditing done! Trusting(and or "verifying") that the maths and implementation are done correctly is simply stupid. Zcash does provide a kind of audit when coins are moved out of the old dark pool and into the new one while monero doesn't.

That's before even getting into the latest exploit (price: 1.5k$/per year). Simply flood the network to deanon all transactions at once.

Guess what coin doesn't have these problems. has solved governance (core devs work for the community), and a BETTER anonymity than both zcash and monero while providing INSTANT transactions?

King of the privacy coins, Zcash won't be able to compete since they can't support privacy by default (who want's to receive transactions in Zcash if you can't be sure the sender even knows how to make the tx private).

As long as XMR isn't cracked, the only real competitors are GRIN and BEAM.

There is only one privacy coin.

Here's how I'm going to make it. If XMR hits .1, and if BTC hits 20k GBP, then right now I need to spend about 22k GPB on XMR now, to buy a home a few years from now.

Since 2014 I've seen predictions that XMR will hit 0.1 and I believe the combined crypto markets will hit 1 trillion market cap in 2019 or thereabouts, so bitcoin hitting 20k is realistic.

If these 2 all time highs coincide, or if at least XMR hits first so i can sell for BTC then hold for its high, i should be able to hit the necessary £1,200,000. So, assuming XMR rises from 0.015 to 0.1, and that BTC stays near its current price this year then rises from around 3k to 20k, then I have until the end of the month to raise 600XMR, currently valued at around 8btc/£22k, to yield £1.2mil at the peaks of both their values.

In 2014 I had 2,000 XMR, sold them for memes, and this time I don't intend to miss out. Anyone else plotting a similar trajectory?
