T B H with how far behind the bond market has been lately, the steepener might actually mark the bottom.

Bond market has no idea wtf is going on IMO, because they believe a bunch of macro nonsense which was still wrong in the disinflationary 2010s but worked OK in that regime.

Until they get to grips with the way the world works now, break evens and such will continue to be worthless indicators and the bond market will continue to scramble to reactively to foreseeable events that it totally fails to foresee.

Careful with listening to Luongo. Parts of what he says are right, but he thinks Davos are the evil overlords controlling everything including Ukraine war because for whatever reason he really hates them. In reality, it is DC who is in the drivers seat, not Brussels. The yurocrats were trying to make nice with Russia, move to buying energy in Euros, pacify the situation in Ukraine, and pull away from the US and NATO.

IMO it was DC, not Davos, that escalated Ukraine and had their boy go talk about getting nukes for the explicit purpose of provoking the conflict, crushing and maybe even shattering the EU via energy sanctions. We're trying to weaken both EU and Russia, putting EU back under our thumb and kneecapping Russia in hopes of someday fracturing and regime-changing it.

The real black swan here is the EU finding their spines and deciding they've had enough of being our lackeys. They could bail on us and roll back the sanctions overnight. Japan could ditch us as well. Frankly they'd both be smart to do so. IOW the dollar will look strong, until it suddenly doesn't.

Literally all of the big streamers are the same scum doing the same shit. It just so happens political bullshit is his particular niche and is audience is dumb zoomers (so naturally, he's a woke "socialist"). So it's no different than some CS:GO or MOBA streamer playing games they've long since grown sick off and lazily watching youtube clips when they can't stand that, in between shilling scams to their viewers for undisclosed kickbacks.

I don't even dislike these people anymore, because they're by far the lesser evil. Really, the pay-piggies deserve to get bleed dry. Redditors from r/socialism throwing mommy and daddy's money at this guy is a karmic win in the grand scheme of things.

I think you're right that it's part of having an excuse for gold going up.

But I think it's probably also not so much about Russia selling gold as Russia buying gold. Everybody knows that the LBMA is leveraged to hell with re-hypothecated gold and CB gold lent out to try to keep the price contained... to keep inflation expectations contained... to keep rates down and the fiat ponzi going. Russia surely knows this too.

Anybody with sufficient capital can break this and send gold to the moon, so why don't they? Well the CBs of the world have quiet agreements not to blow up the status quo like that, and rich people understand that it is politically incorrect to try and they'll have trouble if they do. If Russia is off the reservation for real they could send the western economies into chaos by simply buying up gold until London capitulates and says "no more deliveries, show's over". Physical moons as do inflation expectations, every CB goes straight to capping rates, governments try to ban buying gold, inflation panic and mad scramble for gold ensues.

The irony is, Russia probably doesn't want this. They want the world to keep spinning so they have somebody to sell their gas to. But it will happen in the end, and this is a signal tptb know it and are scared of it. They're trying to misdirect what this is about, but they are tipping their hand regardless.

Fed balance sheet is crabbing. M2 money supply is actually contracting.

Some people think they're just hiding stuff off balance sheet in SPVs, and that may well be true, however judging by the behavior of the markets I don't think it's a significant amount.

While you're correct you're also letting the crypto niggers make you seethe with their stupidity. Ponzis will keep suckering people forever. It will always work and there will always be a new one.

You can't save or help them so take a deep breath and let it go. The greedy and stupid will perish, the patient and clever will thrive.

>Limeys reporting on US gun control bullshit as tho it affects them in the slightest

Man o man, us having the right to defend ourselves really chaps their asses don't it. That's what happens when you don't fight for your freedom lads: you remain slaves.

Canada that goes for you as well.
