It's the ultimate manipulatable asset, and institutions are taking full advantage of this at the expense of permabulls and permabears alike. While you're all busy incoherently screeching at each other over whether it's going to $100k or to $0, institutional buyers are getting fat off of manipulating the price without any regulatory consequences. Bogdanoff pump n' dump memes were just memes until about 6 months ago, now they're actually a disturbingly accurate depiction of what's likely going on behind the scenes. The institutions aren't collaborating with each other, but there are only so many entities that hold enough BTC to make it look like a crash has started, causing some retail money to flee for the exits while the whales load up on cheaper positions, then pull a 180 and make it look like everyone is buying the dip which spurs others to do the same and jack the price up even higher than it was previously.
