If he’s in an urban center foot traffic alone and low enough offers could be how he’s getting those coins. If it’s anything but buying from walk-ins most shops won’t reveal their secret. That special source is valuable and I would cherish them, anon. I have both an online and local shop that I love dearly.

Gold is the guaranteed grower while silver is more of a gamble. Look at the charts and you’ll see there are boomers that have been buying for decades and have bought both above and below current spot price. Gold has been a stable slow climber for forever.

I say all this as someone with currently too much silver who needs to balance the ratio. The high cost per ounce is why many go for the bulkier option; feels good to hold a kilogram of silver versus half an ounce of gold.

I am making a note to buy more gold as everyone should. Add beans and oatmeal to the list and you’re good to go, buddy.
