To further prove my point, I looked through my old screenshots folder to see if I can find examples. I think this works as one. It's a compilation of salt from the airing of Haruhi S2 back in 2009 on /a/. Notice how many posts open with ecchi shots that aren't even all screenshots from the series. This isn't "simp culture," that wasn't even a thing back in 2009. I can probably find a lot more if I dig further in this folder. I haven't looked at these images in ages so this is actually a nice trip down memory lane.
