Lets talk about mainnet.

For the supreme leader and his team to release mainnet they will need to have nodes already established and running, otherwise there would be no "net".

I believe that the blessed one realized this and saw bringing johny on to the team as a way to remedy this. Johny has insider knowledge as to when mainnet will release, so now he can prepare linkpool to coinside with this so there is actually a functioning net upon release.

I believe we can expect 2 situations:

1. The holy one makes a public announcement of an impending mainnet release, and therefor a grace period for people to get nodes running

Or

2. We see some contact from linkpool team starting to onload LP holders to nodes. This would signal mainnets announcement.

Just my thoughts

Capital appreciation has been a huge concern so an attempt was made to guess if LP shares could appreciate as much as link tokens.

Based on the post in previous thread, if we assume that all services provided by LP will collectively equate to the staking power of 60m links (that is, if the actual staked amount is lower than 60m links, LP's additional products will provide profits equilvalent to the difference), then the rewards will be 188 links (47 for every 15m link staked, at 5% yield). If Link is $100, then the passive income is worth 18.8k, which makes the valuation of a share worth about 376k, if we assume that 5% is an acceptable yield for future share buyers.

Buying links with the same amount of money gives you 3200 links = 320k at $100. However, if LP does not gain that much traction and the combined services are equilvalent to 50m links staked or below, then the valuation of a share will be lower than buying 3200 links.

tldr Don't buy any higher than 7-8 eth or $1.6-2k

Being a dumb fuck I did the math AFTER buying it at 7.5eth and now am stuck with bags in this illiquid exchange

15m links have been pledged to be staked in the network. At 5% annual return that's just ~47links reward per share (7.5eth or 3200links).

That's only an annual return of 1.46%. You need the pool to grow to ~60m links (~5.8%) for it to have an acceptable yield.

yeah probably for a year max. Even at 10% staking return that's just an annual yield of ~2.92% per share. It'll only be good if the staking amount increases to 30m in that year.

As time goes on and staking rewards goes lower, you'll need the amount staked to go higher again to sustain the yield. Luckily there's still other services and products that LP has in the pipeline so fingers crossed those are enough to sustain the annual yield at ~5-6%.

Will anyone sell their linkpool tokens? Is there any interest from sellers or buyers?

Once Linkpool has their interface up that allows you to send them you'll be able to sell them over forums, and hopefully eventually someone creates a simple decentralized exchange.
