They supposedly found a safe small molecule drug that decreases the presence of several neural-damage-associated proteins.
They studied it in Alzheimers model mice, and also I think brain hemorrheaged mice. Almost all of them fully recovered after getting the drug.
Their studies are out there about this.

The bear thesis is that they directly contradict the current status quo about these proteins and their role in brain damage.
