and that 'race for the record' is a fantastically made little documentary. really a perfect slice of the great feeling of baseball and American life in the late 90's. We were smiling and cheering all summer, we though that those days would last forever.

that kind of late 90's magic, the exuberance and love everyone was feeling. It was like the whole world was high.
really explains how the tech bubble happened, I mean there were a solid ~4 years leading up to that where everyone felt invincible. no one wanted to sell, no one wanted to say that something couldn't be done.
these guys were out here hitting home runs to the upper decks, 500+ feet every night, so what's a 500 P/E ratio?
