In 2017, when crypto had begun to explode, the shitcoin phenomenon was starting. Us oldfags didn't understand it at the time, but now we do. There were many projects talked about on /biz/ that had potential, or so we thought, and we all bought some of it: Funfair, Enigma, Redd, Request, even Potcoin because it was going to appear on TV - and countless other brand new shitcoins.

The results? We are holding these bags up to this day, and we will never sell them. Some of these coins are not even listed on exchanges anymore. Why did that happen? Simple: many of these were coins with NO REAL WORLD PURPOSE. They were just a new coin, and people buy them because its cheap, and shill it to everyone because of the gain possiblity.

Shitcoins are nothing but gamble coins.

And what are you newfags being exposed to, right now, when you browse /biz/? The shitcoins from 2017? No. The brand new shitcoins, just created a while ago, and the scam continues. Like us oldfags, you'll be holding 99% of coins talked about on /biz/ forever, and they will never go up in price, and 3 years from now nobody will discuss these shitcoins.

What is the lesson here? Stick to the real projects with real life application. There aren't many of them. The strongest examples:

>Bitcoin
>Ethereum
>Litecoin
>Chainlink
>Ripple in case the technology is ever used by banks (doubtful by now)
>iExec (used for computational power IRL)
>Monero (the best daily use coin, because of privacy. This is the real crypto as currency coin)


That is it. You shouldn't be buying anything else. Most of them will be shitcoins. Some may be legit, Enjin has been authorized by the japanese government recenlty to be used as a gaming coin. Cardano is tryiing to compete with Ethereum.

But in reality, there are about 10 coins that are worth buying, because they are real projects
