In a given society it is unreasonable to expect every person be an AI engineer making 175,000 dollars a year living in New York or some shit. The boomer idea of serving food as being a 'kid's' job is because boomers were too retarded to realize they lived in an unusual time of plenty and thus assumed being an overpaid underworked office wagie or factory "worker" was the norm. In reality for most of history being a server or a frycook would have been a good way to make a living, before this perverse idea of "having a career" and always wanting for more happened. The nature of the US is not to provide a stable living for people, but to torment them into thinking if you're not constantly moving up, you're falling behind.
